How?

Machine-learning from preoperative observational data in institutions employing PANSURAS makes it possible to generate predictions of surgical risk, and so derive risk factors for postoperative complications specific to a particular institution. This methodology sidesteps the deficiencies of random controlled trials with slow publication in scientific journals, to increase the accuracy of preoperative surgical risk assassment, along with many of the other possibilities enabled by machine learning …

While supremely important, this is but aspect of the many functions built into the PANSURAS user interface. Other functions are available for teaching, multidisciplinary conferences, communication with colleagues, benchmarking, quality control …

PANSURAS free trial version …

This trial version of PANSURAS requires no “log-in”, does not store user identification, and all inputted data is eliminated upon departure using “EXIT”, or automatically after 60 minutes inactivity. That’s the negative information, and now for the positive. This trial version of PANSURAS combines user-friendly input with some decision support. It is not necessary to input every field in this trial version of PANSURAS — most fields are already set at the normal values, and only known data need be entered into the other fields. That which is unknown, is unknown, and assumed to be irrelevant, normal, or unknown. This is the normal way of preoperative assessment, and PANSURAS is not a “magic-wand” to find unknown data. This trial version also provides extensive “on-the-fly” commentary on the perioperative significance of many parameters and scores, as well as useful information pop-ups. Accordingly, even this trial version is a valuable teaching tool, as well as a useful standardized preoperative data set for own use, and for communicating with others.  …
